There is a theory that Morgoth's successor in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will be Adar

A curious theory has appeared on the Web that Morgoth’s successor in The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power will not be Sauron at all, but Adar.

According to the plot, before the main events of The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power, the elves survived a tense war with Morgoth, who could enslave the whole world. The enemy was defeated, but the army of orcs was led by the faithful servant of the villain, the sorcerer Sauron. Galadriel (Morfydd Clark) and the other elves set off in search of Sauron and his minions, but the sorcerer disappeared.

Galadriel is convinced that Sauron is still alive and is waiting for the right moment to attack again. However, the portal Screen Rant believes that the secret successor of Morgoth is actually Adar (Joseph Mole) – the leader of the orcs. According to the author of the theory, it is Adar who will continue the work of Morgoth while Sauron recovers and prepares for a new battle.

At the end of episode 3 called “Adar”, the elf Arondir (Ismael Cruz Cordova) is captured by the orcs, who have been hiding in underground tunnels for many years. The hero is taken to the leader of the orcs, the mysterious Adar. This is a new character in the John R. R. Tolkien universe created for the series. And Adar is supposed to be an elf. “Adar” is an elvish word that translates as “father”. It turns out that Adar is considered, as it were, the father of the orcs.

Adar is clearly closely related to the origin of the orcs. In this case, the hero can expand and strengthen the army of these terrible creatures. Maybe Adar is really just Sauron’s assistant. However, while Sauron is absent, then Adar remains on the side of evil. And this means that it is Adar, as the successor of Morgoth, who does not allow the forces of evil to fade away.

Sauron will certainly appear in the series “The Lord of the Rings: The Rings of Power” – but later. The show is supposed to show the creation of the Rings of Power and the rise of Sauron to be the powerful villain fans remember him from Peter Jackson’s The Lord of the Rings trilogy. According to the theory, while Adar will distract the elves, Sauron will develop his own insidious plan.

Episode 4 of The Lord of the Rings: Rings of Power is set to premiere on September 16th.
