Take on the old Samaritan makes the hero Javon Walton from Euphoria.

Amazon Prime Video has released the first trailer for the sci-fi action movie Samaritan starring Sylvester Stallone. The actor played a retired superhero.

In the story, a 13-year-old boy named Sam Cleary, played by Euphoria star Javon Walton, begins to suspect that his neighbour Joe Smith (Stallone) is the legendary superhero Samaritan. 25 years ago, the super-powerful vigilante Samaritan was killed after an intense battle with his enemy Nemesis. However, Sam believes that Samaritan is actually alive and in hiding.

Mr. Smith really turns out to be Samaritan, which Sam learns about after the superhero manifests superpowers in front of his eyes. Mr. Smith decided to retire for some reason, so he no longer protects the world from villains. Smith works as a scavenger and only watches how the city is gradually destroyed due to the high level of crime. However, Sam persuades Mr. Smith to take up his old ways again and help him save the city’s residents from bandits.

Julius Avery, who directed the horror film Overlord and the action movie Young blood, is directing Samaritan. The script was written by the author of the films “Claustrophobes” and “Time of the Witches” Bragy F. Shute. Sylvester Stallone is among the producers of the project. The film also stars Pilu Asbek, Martin Starr, Dasha Polanco and Moises Arias.

We will remind, on November 13 starts the series “King of Tulsa” with Sylvester Stallone in the title role. And in 2023 we will see the actor in the movie “The Expendables 4”.

The Samaritan is slated for release on August 26th.
