Pagani unveiled the world’s most powerful version of the Zonda supercar

In early 2007, Horatio Pagani’s firm announced their upcoming Zonda R,  showing official images and sharing some information about the track-only machine. Even then it became clear that the Italians would make the most capable supercar from the modern lineup out of the novelty.

Presented recently at the  motor show in Vienna serial coupe Zonda R confirmed the assumption. The AMG V12 6.0 engine, mounted longitudinally in the base, produces 750 hp. and 710 N•m. Prior to this, the title of the most powerful Pagani was held by the Zonda F Clubsport , whose AMG V12 7.3 engine develops 650 hp and 780 N•m.

On the road, Erka will not leave a chance to Zonda F Clubsport. And if the maximum speed of the latter is only 5  km / h lower (345 versus 350 km / h), then in the dynamics of Clubsport it frankly merges. The arrow of his speedometer reaches 100 in 3.6 seconds, and a similar device on the flagship will show the coveted figure after 2.7 seconds!

Brembo carbon-ceramics are hidden in APP rims, which are wrapped in Pirelli P Zero tires measuring 255/35 R19 at the front and 335/30 R20 at the rear.

What are the reasons for the collapse? A motor with 750 forces is not so bad for a vice-champion. The second half is a huge difference in mass. After all, the Zonda R, with its ultra-light monocoque and full carbon fiber body, weighs only 1070 kg, while the Zonda F Clubsport weighs 1230!

It is not hard to guess that the Pagani Zonda R supercar stands out from its “tribe” and at an exorbitant price. You won’t say otherwise! For  the top model, the Italians are asking for 1,460,000 euros, excluding taxes. For this money, you can have as many as three Zonda F Clubsport coupes in your garage. The “leader” has a heavy burden, I must say.
