Vin Diesel shared concept art on his social networks. It showed Riddick from the back. The hero is heading somewhere and at the same time emits blue energy, which turns into a weapon resembling a scythe. In the new film, Riddick will certainly often destroy enemies with this energy. In a comment to the post, Diesel recalled that Fury is Riddick’s home planet:

“Furian”.

Riddick: The Fury will be directed and written by franchise creator David Twohy, who also worked on previous installments of Pitch Black (1999), The Chronicles of Riddick (2004), and Riddick (2013). The author in February confirmed that in the fourth chapter, Riddick will finally return to the planet Furia, about which he remembers almost nothing. For many years, Riddick believed that the Necromongers destroyed the Fury settlements, turning them into ruins. Viewers will learn new details about Riddick’s backstory :

“Our fans have been demanding this for years, and now we are finally ready to answer their call to action with Riddick: The Fury. You will see on the big screens the return of Riddick to his home world. We can investigate Riddick’s origins.

Riddick may well get a new superpower on Furies. Probably, the hero will find a source of blue energy that will penetrate him.

Riddick: The Fury doesn’t have a release date yet. But on May 19, another film with Vin Diesel, Fast and Furious 10, will be released worldwide. This will be the penultimate part of the franchise.
