Nick Fury returns to Earth in first Secret Invasion trailer
Disney+ has released the first full trailer for Marvel Studios’ upcoming Secret Invasion series. In the video, Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury returns to Earth on a dangerous mission to save the planet from the evil Skrulls.
The movie Spider-Man: Far From Home confirmed that Nick Fury has been on the space station for many years along with alien allies – the Skrulls, who can transform into anyone. On Earth, he was replaced by Talos (Ben Mendelsohn). Together with the Skrulls, Fury worked on some projects. And in Secret Invasion, Fury will finally return to Earth. The hero will look completely different – with a long beard, in a hat and without a branded headband. However, at the end of the trailer they showed a more canonical Fury – if, of course, this is not a Skrull.
As the new series will reveal, there are many evil Skrulls in the universe. Nick Fury somehow finds out that members of a hostile group of Skrulls are operating on Earth. The villains, apparently, reincarnated as influential people from various large organizations in order to seize power on the planet at some point and enslave humanity.
In his new adventure, Fury will be reunited with Talos and Maria Hill (Cobie Smulders). Also in the case is War Machine/James Rhodes (Don Cheadle) and Everett K. Ross (Martin Freeman). True, the heroes may well be impostors. An important role in the plot will be played by the newcomers of the Marvel Cinematic Universe – performed by Emilia Clarke, Olivia Colman and Kingsley Ben-Adira. The characters of Colman and Ben-Adira seem to be the villains.
The script for “Secret Invasion” was written by the author of the series “Mr. Robot” and “Borgia” Kyle Bradstreet.
Secret Invasion is slated to premiere in spring 2023
