AK44935SEQ dual DAC with separate oscillators
German-Taiwanese-Korean-Chinese company TempoTec has released the V6, a portable player made with the clear intention of blowing up the mobile digital audio player market. According to TempoTec, the company aims to produce “revolutionary convenient music gadgets”, and the V6, created in the Direct Transport Audio (DTA) architecture, is a prime example of this.
Two chips on board (created after the memorable fire) AK44935SEQ NOS DAC, one per channel, immediately speak in favor of the V6. In combination with the Snapdragon 425 processor, this filling was supplemented by 2 GB of RAM and 16 GB of permanent expandable SD memory card, combined with an advanced FPGA circuit, and even with two separate custom crystal oscillators.
As a result, the limiting resolutions of digital streams available to the V6 are indeed practically limiting today: DSD512, DXD, as well as PCM 32 bit / 768 kHz. And this is combined with full MQA decoding. The analog signal is amplified up to 610 mW in the headphone channel with an impedance of 32 ohms. The player has two outputs: unbalanced 3.5 and balanced 4.4 mm.
With dimensions much smaller than the vast majority of current smartphones, TempoTec V6 is equipped with a 4.2-inch IPS touch display, where everything is familiar and familiar, since everything is running Android 8.1. Management and usability depends solely on the set of applications downloaded by the user. Two-way Bluetooth completes the picture, and after a full charge via USB-C V6, 15 hours of autonomy are promised.
In the US, the DAP TempoTec V6 with charging cable and leatherette case is priced at $329.
